New Carriere LX™ Self-Ligating Bracket System Offers Unique Micro-Etched Base for Enhanced Bond Strength

A passive system that can be “activated” when there is an interest in using more force, the Carriere LX has been improved from the original Carriere design to include; color-coding for easy identification and fast placement, a micro-etched surface that university study has proven increases bond strength and a rigorous quality control process to ensure product integrity.

Named for its developer, Luis Carriere, DDS, MSD, the Carriere LX offers low friction, low force orthodontics -- with heightened practice efficiency. According to Dr. Carriere, preserving a patient’s periodontal structures without compromising the doctor’s precision and control was the main objective in developing the system.

The low profile design, contoured edges, and smooth labial surfaces provide for enhanced patient comfort. The simple locking mechanism located in the bracket face features a dual lock fastener for reliability yet opens easily with an explorer and closes securely with the touch of your finger, offering quick, easy archwire changes. Additional features consist of torque-in-base/compound-contour for ultimate precision, control, and accurate fit, beveled edges to reduce friction and enhance sliding mechanics, as well as tie wings for chain elastics or should the need arise for conventional ligation. The Carriere LX is also nickel-free for increased biocompatibility and acceptance.

The Carriere LX SLB System is available in .018 and .022 McLaughlin, Bennett, Trevesi* and .018 and .022 Roth* prescriptions, with a recommended archwire sequence and selection of quality instruments.
