Lecturer Biographies

 

Dr. Timothy Tremont

 

Dr. Tremont is in the private practice of orthodontics in White Oak, Pennsylvania and is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at West Virginia University School of Dentistry. He received his dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and Certificate in Orthodontics and Masters of Science from the University at Buffalo.He is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary dental society.

 

Dr. Tremont’s academic focus is on diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical strategies. He developed the popular Cantilever Wrap Around Appliance™ for maxillary retention. He is a very active teacher of the Andrews’ Six Elements of Orofacial Harmony and has published articles in several professional journals. The Four Faces of Orthognathic Surgery is a system he developed to assist in attaining surgical results that are accurate with pre-surgical predictions. He holds a U.S. patent for a surgical measuring device, the Tridimensional Orthognathic Gauge™ (TOG™).

 

Known for his patient and effective teaching style, Dr. Tremont lectures both nationally and internationally, and regularly provides courses on subject matter relating to orthodontics and orthognathic surgery.

 

Dr. Robert Gallagher

 

Dr. Gallagher has been in private practice in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area for 18 years. Dr. Gallagher attended Baylor College of Dentistry, graduating in 1992. Currently, Dr. Gallagher serves as the President of the Baylor Alumni Association, and participates in the selection of new residents for the program. Dr. Gallagher is a certified Invisalign provider in teen and adult treatment.


Dr. Michael W. Ragan

 

Dr. Ragan operates a private practice in Dallas, Texas. In 1997, Dr. Ragan graduated with honors from the Baylor College of Dentistry in Waco, Texas. He received his post-graduate training in Orthodontics from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Ragan is a guest lecturer and past alumni president at Nova. He is a member of a number of professional associations including: Baylor’s Odontological Honor Society, the AAO, and the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists.

 

Dr. Christopher Hydo

 

Dr. Christopher Hydo, a third generation native of San Diego, attended dental school at University of the Pacific, where he received his D.D.S. degree in 1994. Dr. Hydo served 10 years in the U.S. Air Force as a Dental Officer. During that time, he received his Master of Science in Craniofacial Biology and a Certificate of Orthodontics from the University of Southern California in 2001. Dr. Hydo is a board certified orthodontist with the American Board of Orthodontics and regularly exceeds the annual requirements for continuing education. He also gives numerous lectures annually about orthodontics and Invisalign® to local dentists, and is a guest presenter at Rady Children’s Hospital. He maintains memberships in the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Diego Dental Society, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics, and American Association of Orthodontics.

 

Dr. Hydo is honored to be practicing in his hometown of Solana Beach, and serving as an active member of his community.

 

Drs. Larry and Will Andrews

 

Dr. Larry Andrews is the inventor of the Straight-Wire Appliance System, discoverer of the Six Keys to Normal (Optimal) Occlusion™, and the Six Elements of Orofacial Harmony™. In 1989, he authored the textbook Straight Wire, The Concept and Appliance. He is a clinical professor at the University of California at San Francisco, an adjunct professor at West Virginia University, and a visiting professor at Bauru Dental School, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Dr. Andrews completed orthodontic training at Ohio State University in 1958. He has lectured worldwide about the Six Elements Orthodontic Philosophy™, and maintains a private practice limited to orthodontics and orofacial harmony in San Diego, CA.

 

Dr. Will Andrews completed orthodontic training at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF) in 1992. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a member of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists, an assistant clinical professor at UCSF, and an adjunct assistant professor at West Virginia University. Dr. Andrews has lectured worldwide, published articles about the Six Elements Orthodontic Philosophy, and maintains a private practice limited to orthodontics in San Diego, CA.
