Course Overview

Modern tools of orthodontics such as Temporary Anchorage Devices, Self-Ligating Brackets, Class II/III bite correctors and lingual appliances have revolutionized the Orthodontic industry by allowing increasingly complex cases to be treated in relatively short periods of time. To their detriment, clinicians often do little more than swap-out old technology for new without considering the fundamental change in biomechanical forces that will result.. While the newer technologies alone may yield improvements over older technologies, treatment plans can only be optimized when all biomechanics are considered as a whole. Thus, a thorough understanding of how traditional and state of the art products function together can reveal beneficial and time-saving synergies. These courses were created to help the clinician understand how to blend old technologies with new to achieve outstanding results while decreasing overall chair time. Additionally, Dr. Echarri will evaluate how to properly finish and retain cases to maximize orthodontic stability.
